Video Card's Here!
I just woke up few minutes ago as my sis handed me a box. It took me a minute to realize what was in the box.Woot! My video card's here. Brightened up my day :) I was having some weird dreams earlier. So I got a new one instead of my old one being replaced, cool! I have a Diamond Radeon HD4670 1gb. My computer started making this weird sound a little over a week ago and I found out it was my video card :( so close to WoW cata release! It really dampened my excitement in a way, even though I still played with my onboard but it's different! It was choppy and hard on the eyes, just not as smooth as having an actual video card. One of the reasons I haven't played much yesterday, but I guess it was a bigger reason than I thought it was because when I realized my video card came today, I got excited! :P
I'm gonna install it in a few minutes, bout to eat lunch soon.

I really do have so many pending topics that I've been wanting to talk about yet for some reason do not have the motivation to post. I think if I know people read this, it might motivate me more because in a way, I sort of a responsibility to update my blogs. So I might start promoting my blog more and also post videos on YouTube as well.
This morning while thinking about the new expansion, I had to convince myself to get rid of some stuff in my bank. I have 4 portable holes and 3 22-slotters, full portable-holes for my actual bags and I find myself ALWAYS out of space. Being the sentimental person that I am, I've acquired a huge collection of gear sets and weapons from my WOTLK experience. I decided to write about it before deleting, list all the names of the weapons and keep a fraps video for proof. But then thinking about those weapons quickly brought me back to the times I've acquired each item. Wrath of the Lich King expansion was fun for me overall. I've mainly played in Wrath so I can't feel the pain of people who said it sucked. I wish I discovered and played the game much earlier though, but I take what I have and I can say I've enjoyed it.
I will definitely be posting that entry. Instead of an inventory, it actually turned into a "My WoW story" entry. One that I've been meaning to write about yet just didn't have the drive I guess. This morning felt just right. It's a really long entry. I thought about posting it in parts but I'd rather not because I might lose the fluidity and feeling of the story.
So I'd like to let you know that I am back and hopefully!!! here to stay :)
Blizzcon 2010!
I know I've pretty much neglected my blog :( Even though I have tons of screenshots and list of topics that I want to cover, I admittedly just haven't had the motivation I guess to write.This week, is Blizzcon week! I plan to update my blog with the details of my trip to Anaheim for the next couple days. Think I'll actually vlog my trip, and I'm gonna be bringing my handy flipcam with me to document it all.
So that's it for now. It's Wednesday night and I should be packing up my stuff soon. Need to do a couple of things though before I do that.

Woot! Server first for 25man kill of Halion, the new boss in Ruby Sanctum. Would we be able to do it in heroic server first next week?
The trash from that place is epic, you actually need to have a strategy to kill them. We used three tanks to separate the mobs, and I was on interrupt duty for the blast. We wiped more times on trash than the mini-bosses and even the boss! Mini-bosses were quick kills and they're fun to do. Halion took 3 attempts to down, definitely third time's a charm :)
I like the new place--the forest feel and when you look up, stars and swirly galaxies decorate the twilight purple skies. Even though it's just a one-boss raid instance, it was refreshing to see something new other than ICC.
Phoenix Hatchling...finally!
I didn't get to blog about it right away but I finally got my Phoenix Hatchling. It took about 40x runs to get that thing!The night it did drop though, I called it :) Jesse had been running with me all 40x runs, and that night, I told him I had a feeling it's gonna drop. Lo and behold, it did! :)
That took forever to farm, but it was fun getting it. Funny how we developed a system of clearing that place--it's almost like we do the exact same thing each run. We must've seen all the drops too. Oh yea..maybe we should go back and do the heroic mode everyday for the mount. Wonder how long that'll take :P

Woot! Lich King10 downed again.
Earlier tonight Judge and I led a 10-Lich King kill, 2nd for our guild Cataclysm. He and I were the only kingslayers, so our guild has 8 additional kingslayers now. As you can see from my previous post, we first downed 10LK mid-April and another kill was so long overdue. This week, we decided to push people to kill 10LK because our 25man progression caught up to 11/12 (the Sindy kill was so long overdue as well) and we needed people to learn the LK fight in 10 so our 25man wouldn't be much of a wipefest. The plan was to have 2 10mans extended and to allocate Wednesday and Thursday specifically for 10LK kill. We killed him on the first night, I'm so proud of my group! I'm not sure how many attempts we did, but the fight that we killed him we called it to be our last attempt of the night...turned out it was gonna be our last attempt for the week!
At 13% we only had 1 tank, 1 healer, and 1 dps. I died because I got ported in to a room to kill this mob and when I got out, I was in the middle of defile. That defile was everywhere! Slowly it reached to those 3 remaining people.
"Keep going! Keep going! Don't let the tank die! 3% more til 10!....2%!...1%!...omg, we're gonna make it!"
10 % and it was WIN. That was freakin' epic. lol. I'm really happy and proud of the group :)

I'll be continuing to work on acquiring a full gear set for a clothie caster :D and gemming them out with sp+haste as well. It's a bit slow cuz of course, people who need 'em will get the drops first. What's funny is that my gear's actually good for raiding. I'm only grabbing ilevel251 and up! I could even get the BoE pants and boots crafted or spend my frosties on the BoP 264 gear, but that's going overboard, LOL. Will update again when I get more caster gear :D

Progression News:We finally got him down. Woot!!!
April 14th Wednesday night, we opted to extend this week's lock out period so we can dedicate a full night of raiding to take the Lich King down and have him "down at our feet". We spent about 4.5 hours of wiping multiple times, but at the same time burning the fight mechanics into our heads. Our best attempt that night was 19%. We had a couple more attempts after that 19% but it went downhill from there, I guess we just burnt ourselves out.
We came back April 15th Thursday night after our 25man raid, with the eye of the tiger, staring down its prey and ready to take the kill.
Fight mechanics that at first needed to be consciously remembered, evolved to feel more natural and became part of our second nature.
On our third attempt of the night, we slayed the king.
It was such an awesome feeling! That cut scene right after the kill was epic! We all couldn't believe it. Finally!!! Our guild's first Lich King kill. I'm sure the kill will inspire the rest of our guild and ignite the passion for progression if it's not already burning. Two daggers dropped by the way, the Stormfury, Black Blade of the Betrayer, and I received both of them XD because nobody else could use it. I also don't have any real use for them either, as I have 2x Heartpierces and 2x Ribspreaders that I use for PvP. Lol, two of each kind. My weapon collection, is reserved for a future blog.
It was rough the 2 months before last month after the guild split happened, progression has been hard when we had to use our pool of casual raiders from group2 to fill the the over a dozen spots left from group1 25man. Our 10man had to establish synergy and really push the progression further, even when our 25man raids weren't looking good at all. This attitude of progression has trickled down and since about a month ago, things are picking up. Cataclysm is 10/12 at the moment, and I'm sure soon as the other 10mans successfully down Sindragosa and Lich King, the attempts on that fight in 25man will be so much smoother. I really stand by the experience and knowledge you can get from 10mans, because in 25 man, if there are people who do not have the slightest idea what to do, it's such a liability to carry those people around. More people, more chances of messing up.
Gear talk:
I can't wait til 25ICC-hm, I have no upgrades left but maybe 10hm loot with its better itemization. I have full 264 gear, except my 258 range weapon that I'm planning on replacing with Stakethrower heroic. But other than that, I don't have any more item level upgrades til heroic mode 25. If I'm so desperate to have a 264 item in that slot, I can equip my shrapnel star. It sucks when once in awhile, I have progression envy pangs. At least right now we'll be doing heroic modes in 10, it will satisfy my progression cravings and also, to work on the achievements for the mount...it will be awesome.
2-3 weeks ago Jesse/Judgernaught unlocked 10heroic modes for us and we did 6/12 in HM. Last week, I didn't do 10man with my original group but instead led a 10man and did 6/12. I QQ'd about that night because of some things I didn't like--with the raid comp, a certain player wearing PvP gear in raids (it's really a pet peave =/), didn't feel synergy with half the raid because I didn't know them well, the fact that I didn't put the group together and wasn't able to pick who I wanted to bring, etc. I do admit the objective wasn't clear as well and maybe my expectations weren't met so I really felt crappy. It's just that, if I was gonna lead my own group, I'd like it to be a progression group as well with progression-minded players. I talked to Lumi about it and I felt better after when he said that it was exactly what he wanted me to do: to help clear the first 6 bosses for that group, which we did.
I'm thinking of putting together an assassination set because I have like 249 frost emblems at the moment, and I really have nothing else to buy. I could convert them to primordial saronites I suppose, but I feel that's such a waste. I already have full relentless gear from last season too. Hmm, think I'll feel less guilty using up the frosts for that assassination set.
